Rosablanche
Rosablanche is a ski and outdoor clothing brand. The visual identity and graphic charter had to be created for this project.
The history of the brand name helped to better define the logo. Rosablanche is a summit in the Valais Alps in Switzerland at an altitude of 3,335 metres and is one of the stops on the Patrouille des Glaciers. Located between the Val de Nendaz, the Lac des Dix and the Val de Bagnes, it is surrounded by several glaciers: the Glacier de Prafleuri, the Grand Désert and the Glacier de Mourti. "Rosablanche" is said to come from an ancient language of the Aosta Valley, Rosa meaning "glacier". "Blanche" could be explained by the typical colour of these glaciers which seems to be rather white. After an analysis of the logos of competing brands, an illustrative and typographic logo for Rosablanche was chosen. Finally, regarding the typography, the choice fell on a modern font, sans serif to counter the rococo connotation of the first name Rosablanche, which could make one think of a flower. By giving a modern and rather masculine look, this choice allowed for a better balance in the final result.
The minimalist style makes it easier to remember the logo and therefore to recognize it better.
